Manufacturing/Production Manager

We are partnering with a growing advanced manufacturing company in the Greensboro area seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Manager to oversee production operations for 2 production lines. This is a highly visible leadership role within a clean, team-oriented manufacturing environment that values accountability, communication, organization, and continuous improvement.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, leading people, driving production performance, improving processes, and creating structure within a production environment. The company is looking for a leader who leads by example, builds strong relationships with employees, communicates effectively across shifts and departments, and takes pride in maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily production operations for 2 manufacturing lines, extrusion production

• Lead, coach, and support operators and technicians to ensure safe and efficient production

• Monitor production schedules, staffing, material flow, housekeeping, and overall line performance

• Maintain strong communication between shifts to ensure smooth production handoffs and operational continuity

• Coordinate with maintenance and support teams to minimize downtime and resolve production issues quickly

• Ensure employees remain productive, engaged, and aligned with expectations during both active production and downtime

• Drive accountability, organization, safety awareness, and process discipline throughout the manufacturing floor

• Track production KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, quality, workflow, and organization

• Help create and maintain a positive, team-oriented culture built around ownership and operational excellence

Preferred Background:

• Manufacturing leadership experience within extrusion, textiles, yarn, fibers, plastics, film, converting, injection molding, medical device manufacturing, or similar process manufacturing environments

• Strong leadership presence on the production floor

• Experience supervising operators, technicians, or production teams

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, troubleshooting production flow issues, and maintaining operational efficiency

• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills

• Process improvement and continuous improvement experience preferred

• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to build trust and accountability with employees
