Benefits Manager (HRIS / ADP Workforce Now)

About the Role
Our client is seeking a Benefits Manager to lead benefits administration, compliance, and HRIS optimization across a multi-state workforce. This role serves as a subject matter expert in ADP Workforce Now, benefits operations, and regulatory compliance, partnering closely with HR, Payroll, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA) including enrollments, life events, and terminations
- Lead open enrollment (system testing, reporting, employee communications)
- Ensure accuracy of benefits deductions, payroll integration, and data audits
- Administer FMLA, disability, and leave of absence programs
- Maintain compliance with ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, Section 125
- Generate and analyze ACA reporting (1095-C), benefits data, and workforce metrics
- Support HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) configuration, reporting, and process improvements
- Partner with brokers, carriers, and vendors on file feeds, eligibility, and reconciliations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution
Compensation: Starting at $100,000
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of benefits administration experience
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN) or similar HRIS
- Strong knowledge of ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA compliance
- Experience managing multi-state benefits programs
- Advanced skills in Excel, data analysis, and reporting
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience with benefits integration during M&A (mergers & acquisitions)
- Experience with self-insured plans and vendor integrations
