Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable activities, including invoice verification, coding, approvals, payment processing, and vendor maintenance.
- Ensure timely payment of all invoices and expense reimbursements to optimize cash flow and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Maintain and improve AP processes, including matching, coding, deductions, early payment discounts, and month-end close activities.
- Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger; prepare monthly AP aging reports and variance analyses.
- Implement and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud and errors; ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team; assign workloads, set performance objectives, conduct reviews, and provide training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with proven leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, internal controls, and month-end close.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) and AP automation tools.
- Knowledge of tax withholding, sales/use tax, and regulatory compliance as it relates to accounts payable (where applicable).
- Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities; able to prioritize and manage multiple priorities.
- Oversee vendor master data management; handle onboarding, changes, and vendor communications.
