Purpose of the Position
The SVP, Finance Transformation serves as the senior-most program leader for Finance2030, our client’s multi-year global ERP and finance transformation initiative. This individual is responsible for end-to-end program governance, executive stakeholder management, and the integrated delivery of all Finance2030 workstreams including ERP implementation, service delivery model transformation, process standardization, data governance, and change management. This role serves as the primary escalation point across all VP-level pillar leads and external partners, and is the principal interface to finance executive leadership and key business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end program governance for Finance2030 across all workstreams, including ERP platform delivery, process transformation (R2R, P2P, O2C, Plan-to-Perform), data governance, operating model redesign, and change management.
- Serve as the primary executive interface to senior finance leaders and business stakeholders on program status, risks, key decisions, and milestone attainment.
- Own the Finance2030 integrated program plan, ensuring workstream interdependencies are actively managed and critical path items are escalated and resolved.
- Own the program budget and oversee the related capex governance process, including monthly reporting to executive stakeholders and oversight of all program-related spend.
- Direct and coordinate the work of all VP-level program direct reports.
- Drive executive-level decision-making forums and governance structures, including Steering Committee preparation and facilitation.
- Maintain strategic relationships with the ERP vendor, system integrator (SI) and business integrator (BI) and key advisory partners, ensuring commercial leverage is preserved and delivery accountability is enforced.
- Proactively identify program risks — including personnel, vendor, scope, and timeline risks — and develop mitigation plans with appropriate urgency.
- Partner with the Finance COO and functional finance leadership to ensure the program is designed to meet strategic objectives and operational requirements and is positioned for successful adoption.
- Support organizational design decisions related to the future-state finance operating model and ensure appropriate change sequencing across geographies and business lines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least one full-cycle ERP implementation in a large, complex, multinational organization.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale transformation programs with direct accountability for executive reporting and delivery outcomes.
- Understanding of leading practice in key process domains (R2R, P2P, O2C, FP&A) together with practical experience balancing transformation ambition with operational realities.
- Has developed or meaningfully contributed to a talent strategy in the context of operating model change, including defining what capabilities the organization should retain, develop or outsource and partnering with HR on execution.
- Experience managing large, matrixed teams and third-party advisory/SI relationships in a high-stakes transformation context.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to distill complex program dynamics into crisp, decision-ready communications for C-suite audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or Workday Finance in a global implementation context.
- Background in complex, multi-entity operating environments with significant global footprint.
- Familiarity with shared services / BPO models and the organizational dynamics of finance function consolidation.
- Prior experience in a Big 4 or major advisory firm in a transformation leadership capacity.
Location: New York City or Dallas, Texas
Salary : $240,000 - $270,000
