Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager for this growing, 200 employee, non-union site acts as a strategic advisor to plant leadership and operations teams. You will lead workforce planning, labor relations, and organizational design for our manufacturing facility. Your focus will be driving plant productivity, safety culture, and talent retention across hourly and salaried workforces.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Alignment: Partner with plant operations to translate production goals into effective workforce strategies.
- Employee Relations: Manage complex employee relations on the shop floor.
- Change Management: Guide operational restructurings, shift adjustments, and technology upgrades safely and efficiently.
- Talent Management: Oversee succession planning, skills training, and leadership development for plant supervisors and staff.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, federal/state employment laws, and company safety standards.
- Data Analytics: Use workforce data (turnover, absenteeism, overtime) to build proactive retention and productivity solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive human resources experience.
- Industry Background: Prefer 3 to 5 years supporting a manufacturing, plant, or supply chain environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Certifications: SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
- Core Skills:
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and plant safety rules.
- Proven ability to coach plant leadership and floor supervisors.
- High data literacy with experience using HR metrics.
