Position Description
The VP of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the company’s operational strategy and execution across client engagement, contract management, and program delivery. This leader will serve as a key interface between internal teams and government clients, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior point of contact for client communications, issue resolution, and strategic alignment
- Lead client engagement efforts to ensure delivery is aligned with client expectations
- Design and implement scalable operational processes and systems
- Oversee day-to-day operations across departments to ensure efficiency and accountability
- Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Manage the full lifecycle of government contracts, from proposal to closeout
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR and other relevant regulations
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to mitigate risk and ensure contract integrity
- Lead cross-functional program teams to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop and maintain program plans, risk registers, and performance dashboards
- Ensure alignment between program execution and strategic objectives
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, program management, and contract administration (defense contracting industry experience preferred)
- Proven experience in hands on leadership of complex programs
- Deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations and government contracting practices
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to obtain security clearance if required
Salary : $250,000 - $275,000
