Our client, a growing Retail/Shopping Center Development Firm is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Manager to oversee all facets of project construction management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for a growing portfolio of shopping centers in Southern California. The Construction Manager will play an integral role as a new addition to the team where you will oversee the full scope of the construction development process and ensure deliverables are on track. You'll be able to work closely with a dedicated team and take ownership of projects with oversight in property operations, tenant coordination for design and buildouts, along with lease review and communication across internal and external contacts. The ideal candidate is a true self-starter and has hands-on experience working with vendors, budgets, permitting, and coordinating with clients and tenants. The Construction Manager will be responsible for protecting and promoting the interest of both the business and clients in all matters, as well as demonstrate the personal characteristics of a true leader with a proactive and positive approach. Responsibilities:
- Overseeing construction projects and communicating directly with executive team on updates, changes, and issues
- Provide strategic input and strong follow-through in regard to overall design, planning and ongoing construction needs
- Obtains, evaluates, and coordinates information and authorizations necessary to construct projects on time
- Maintains adherence to compliance and all standards of safety
- Ensures required documentation is filed and organized
- Assists in creating and managing project budget for all assigned projects
- Assist in conducting project meetings, setting milestones and formulating monthly reports
- Will oversee all subcontractors and trades during construction, with a focus on strong relationship management.
- Coordination with contracts, lease review, vendor invoices, payment scheduling, lender draws, and all necessary documentation

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience in real estate construction project management – ideally within retail or development of shopping centers
- Minimum 2 years of experience with shopping center operations and tenant coordination
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or Construction /Engineering
- Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin preferred
- Strong technical proficiency in Bluebeam, AutoCad, and/or Project Management & Construction Management related software

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
