Data Privacy Operations Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a Data Privacy Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day execution of our global privacy and data governance program. This role is primarily focused on privacy operations, secure data handling, compliance support, and data governance, with secondary responsibility for IT operations and employee access lifecycle management.
This is a hands-on operational role partnering closely with IT, Security, HR, and Legal teams to help ensure employee and company data is handled securely, responsibly, and in compliance with privacy requirements.
Responsibilities
Data Privacy Operations (Primary Focus)
- Support day-to-day privacy operations and compliance activities
- Assist with DSAR fulfillment, data gathering, and validation across systems
- Maintain data inventories, Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), and privacy documentation
- Support privacy audits, access reviews, and compliance readiness efforts
- Ensure proper data handling, retention, and deletion practices
- Help administer cookie consent and preference management tools
- Identify and escalate potential privacy or data handling risks
IT Operations & Access Management (Secondary Focus)
- Execute employee onboarding and offboarding across systems
- Manage user access provisioning, deprovisioning, and permission changes
- Support systems such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, HRIS, and related tools
- Troubleshoot day-to-day access and system issues
- Support audit preparation and access review activities
Qualifications
- 2β4 years of experience in data privacy operations, IT operations, security operations, or systems administration
- Familiarity with privacy regulations and concepts such as GDPR, CCPA, DSARs, or data governance
- Experience managing user access and onboarding/offboarding processes
- Strong attention to detail and experience handling sensitive data
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with IT, Security, HR, and Legal teams
- Experience with tools such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Rippling, or similar platforms
- Strong organizational, operational, and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work onsite 3x/week
Pay range and compensation package
Compensation ranges from $110,000-125,000 with total earnings based on an OTE (On-Target Earnings) basis. The amount will depend on relevant experience, demonstrated expertise, and overall fit for the role, aligning with market benchmarks and internal equity.

Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
