Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, proficiency in dental software systems, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for patient treatments.
- Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Record and update patient medical histories, including vital signs.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient appointments using dental software systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and sterilization areas.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Support administrative tasks as needed, including filing records and managing inventory.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and endodontics is highly desirable.
- Proficient in taking medical imaging with an understanding of safety standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification in CPR or basic life support is preferred.
