What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Processor position at CONFIDENCIAL?
As a Payroll Processor, you will manage the end-to-end balancing and processing duties to ensure all payments, taxes, and deductions comply with federal/state labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Integrity: Manage employee changes in the HRIS, including pay rates, tax exemptions, and direct deposit/pay card details.
- Timekeeping Management: Facilitate the collection and tracking of timekeeping materials; utilize multiple systems to produce automated payroll imports.
- Reconciliation & Auditing: Review exception reports to detect discrepancies; prepare batch balancing sheets and reconcile period-end reports to the payroll register.
- Problem Solving: Act as a key point of contact for field managers and team members to resolve payroll inquiries and pay issues.
- Compliance & Reporting: Execute system updates to reflect changes in tax laws; maintain statistical reports and manage the distribution of W-2s and W-2cs.
- Financial Cycles: Assist with critical month-end, quarter-end, and year-end balancing and preparation.
