The Role: Back-End Engineer - Java
As a Back-End Engineer you will be responsible for developing REST API, using Java, Play framework and/or Spring Framework
- Hands on development of n-tier applications using Microservices, Java/J2EE and related technologies.
- Participate in managing code & configurations for multiple environments, release management process, creating and maintaining environment configuration and controls, code integrity and work closely with platform team
- Analyzing business requirements, story-boards and similar artifacts of the scrum process, working in an agile development environment with a quick turnaround time and iterative builds.
- Experience using Coding Agents like Cursor or Claude.
- Partner effectively with all team members, specifically team architect, to deliver against commitments
- Work cross-functionally with various teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
- Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics
- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies (Nice to have)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned task
- 3 years’ experience in a development role in a building web based Java EE services, REST APIs
- Ability to write clean java code
- Experience with REST, Web-Services, Micro-Services, JEE technologies, Play framework, MYSQL, Caching, Apache Camel
- Extensive experience with Asynchronous Messaging Platforms such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ
- Experience working with Large Data sets
- Experience creating applications on the Service-Now platform to deliver Large Scale ServiceNow integrations.
- Expert in Patterns of Application Architecture using various ORM tools like eBean, Hibernate
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, automation, software design and database management
- Application development experience on cloud platforms AWS (Preferred)
- Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems (must have)
- Strong desire to learn and grow

The pay range for this position is $120,000 to $145,000. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the United States. Actual placement within the range is determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, alignment with market data, and geographic location. The base salary range does not include any equity or benefits.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
Salary : $120,000 - $145,000
