Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires knowledge of cultural practices used in forestry or plant nursery.
- Requires knowledge of soil elements, damage, insects, and diseases common to forestry or plant nurseries.
- Requires knowledge of methods and techniques of nursery irrigation.
- Requires knowledge of uses and application techniques of common fertilizers and chemical sprays.
- Requires familiarity and working knowledge of computers and software programs – word processing (Word) and spreadsheets (Excel).
- Requires skill in the use of various manual and power tools and equipment used in greenhouse and forestry operations.
Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

POSITION: Assistant Greenhouse Grower
SALARY: $22.56-$22.56, per hour
REPORTS TO: Greenhouse
LOCATION: Nespelem, WA
Basic Functions: This is a Non-Exempt position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and 6-12 months of experience in greenhouse work and/or some coursework in mathematics and science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Forestry, Natural Resources, etc.) are preferred.
Licenses and Certificates:
- Requires a valid Washington State Driver's License (CDL Preferred) and must be eligible for the Tribes vehicle insurance. Possession of, or the ability to obtain a pesticide or herbicide Applicator's License within 6 months or employment. Must maintain licenses and clearance throughout employment.
Salary : $20 - $23
