Part-Time Retail Associate

The Confectionery House is a small, women-owned business that prides itself on helping our local and online baking community find the tools, supplies, and inspiration they need to be successful in their treat-making projects.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

• Pull, pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Stock shelves and keep the store clean, organized, and inviting
• Package bulk items like sprinkles and chocolate for resale
• Ring out customers and create a smooth, friendly checkout experience
• Help customers find products and offer thoughtful recommendations
• Learn about our products so you can confidently assist customers over the phone and in person.
• Answer customer calls, emails, and contact customers about their orders if needed.

Retail or customer service experience is preferred.

An interest in baking, candy making, cookie decorating, or creative treat making projects is a must. We're happy to teach the right person the basics so they can confidently help our customers.

A Few Realities of the Role

This position includes physical work such as lifting inventory, stocking shelves, and packing orders for shipping. You must be able to:

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Walk, stand, bend, and move throughout an 8-hour shift
• Carry items up and down stairs

Comfort working with a computer and iPad is required.

Reliability, organization, and attention to detail are essential, especially during busy periods when maintaining accuracy matters most.

You'll also assist customers both in person and over the phone with patience, kindness, and professionalism.

Position Details

Part-Time (approximately 19 hours per week to start)

Hours currently available:

• Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Additional hours and responsibilities may become available as business needs change and during peak holiday seasons.

Starting Pay: $16/hour
