We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints for different needs, and applying them with brushes, rollers, or sprayers to various surfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of painting techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and safely in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and applying primers or sealers
- Mix and match paint colors, finishes, and materials to achieve desired results
- Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or other finishes to buildings, walls, ceilings, equipment, or other structures
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect them during painting
- Operate tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray guns
- Repair cracks, holes, and damaged surfaces as needed
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear
- Collaborate with clients or supervisors to ensure job requirements and expectations are met
- Keep a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a professional painter
- Knowledge of painting materials and techniques
- Ability to use scaffolding, ladders, and other necessary tools
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Attention to detail and a steady hand
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus
