Conestoga Tile - Warehouse Associate
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery staging area in a manner that meets company standards for accuracy, productivity, safety and security. The Order Picker is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick customer orders in the trim department for shipment, ensuring that the correct quantity and type of product is loaded and shipped.
- Accurately label all orders as requested.
- Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms
- Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
- Operate cherry picker to complete order filling duties when required.
- Pack orders as required
- Participate in maintaining a clean, neat and orderly warehouse.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and adheres to all company safety procedures and policies.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School or equivalent education
- Read and count accurately
- Able to do simple math
- Able to safely operate material handling equipment (training provided)
- Ability to listen and follow instructions
- Ability to give attention to detail is a must
Physical Demands and Abilities
- Regularly required to use hands to lift/handle materials including reaching with hands and arms
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move objects (including sliding, pushing/pulling) objects that weigh 75-100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
