How you’ll contribute
- Participates in the development of new approaches to trauma care, in accord with the hospital’s philosophy and objectives, PTSF standards and the American College of Surgeon’s Committee on Trauma.
- Facilitate concurrent identification and review of Trauma Registry and develop education programs based on data
- Be current and knowledgeable of standards for trauma center accreditation as outlined by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation.
- Collaborate with all trauma unit nurse managers, trauma program manager, trauma services, PA/CRNP to provide orientation and on-going trauma education activities in all trauma-designed areas as requested.
- Identify opportunities for research. Participate and promote research within the institution.
- Institute new and existing educational programs for prevention and outreach activities.
- Coordinate outreach opportunities with referral facilities and EMS
- Communication and documentation of follow-up with referral facilities on patient transfers both to CMMC and from CMMC
- Actively participate in the trauma improvements program
- Active participation in the site survey process as directed.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Successful completion of the basic trauma nurse course curriculum. Bachelor’s Degree required within seven years.
3 years Trauma nursing experience
CEN, CCRN or ANA preferred
Prior experience as a nurse educator preferred
Minimum Five (5) years nursing experience with clinical focus preferred
