Essential Job Function
- Conducts reviews of emergency medical systems and protocols to ensure proper functionality and adherence to established standards.
- Ensures the quality and timeliness of reports, and records related to emergency medical services to maintain accurate records.
- Manages employee inquiries and troubleshoot issues requiring policy interpretation, to provide guidance and resolution.
- Coaches lower-level professionals to support their growth and development.
- Maintains a high level of expertise in emergency medical procedures, treatments, and technologies to deliver effective patient care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- ED/Occ Health: Required: 1 year of Paramedic experienceCarelink: Required: 3 years of EMS paramedic experience Carelink Transport positions, must have 3 years of EMS paramedic or critical care transport paramedic experience. Carelink relief paramedics must have 5 years of EMS paramedic experience & 1 year of critical care transport experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Current valid NC Paramedic certificationBLS (CPR-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider ACLS - American Red Cross or Healthcare ProviderValid Driver's License If driving a CH vehicle must have minimum 5 years as a valid licensed driver with MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
