What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Scheduler position at ConeHealth?
The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling procedures and/or appointments. Working under direct supervision, this role also assists with data entry, secretarial duties, and administrative duties in order to assist the department in providing high quality patient care. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM.
Essential Job Function:
- Ensures the correct patient and procedure are selected for the appointment by using available sources to obtain/validate patient demographics and insurance information.
- Matches orders to the correct scheduled exam and initiates solutions for incorrect orders and lab results in a timely manner, if applicable to department.
- Assists with accurately completing pre-registration for scheduled procedures and/or appointments in order to ensure that it includes complete documentation of authorization information.
- Works closely with the pre-authorization team in order to ensure financial clearance guidelines have been met.
- Helps schedule anesthesia for adult sedation patients, if applicable.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year of experience.
