POSITION SUMMARY
The General Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day business operations, driving performance, managing teams, and ensuring the organization meets its financial, operational, customer service, and compliance goals. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong business judgment, financial acumen, communication skills, and the ability to build a high-performing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead daily operations across engineering, fabrication, assembly, testing, quality, supply chain, and customer support functions supporting ConeCraft’s single-use biopharmaceutical equipment business.
- Drive operational execution for stainless steel equipment, bioprocess container platforms, tubing and filter management systems, horizontal solution bulk holds, and custom bioprocess workstation projects.
- Ensure production, documentation, testing, and release activities support cGMP customer expectations, Factory Acceptance Testing requirements, quality standards, and on-time delivery commitments.
- Partner with engineering, project management, quality, and manufacturing teams to translate customer process requirements into safe, reliable, value-engineered equipment solutions.
- Manage business performance, including revenue, margin, capacity planning, labor utilization, project profitability, forecasting, and cost controls.
- Strengthen workflow, safety, quality, and risk mitigation practices for equipment used in critical aseptic and biomanufacturing applications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve lead times, fabrication quality, documentation accuracy, customer responsiveness, and overall operational efficiency.
- Develop and mentor department leaders and employees, reinforcing accountability, technical discipline, cross-functional collaboration, and customer-focused execution.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, customers, installation partners, and internal teams to resolve project issues, manage supply risks, and support domestic and global customer needs.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, customer satisfaction, change order reduction, and financial results.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment practices, safety requirements, documentation practices, and applicable regulatory or customer-driven quality expectations.
- Prepare operational and financial reports, analyze business trends, and recommend actions to executive leadership to support growth, scalability, and long-term competitiveness.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive management or operations leadership experience.
- Proven experience managing teams, budgets, performance goals, and operational priorities.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance metrics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business reporting tools.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams or multiple departments.
