Crane Operator/ CDL B

We are now hiring a Crane Operator/CDL B to join our team in West Columbia, SC.

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator with a valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B (CDL B) to join our construction and materials handling team. This role involves operating cranes to facilitate lifting, moving, and positioning materials across various job sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring efficient project execution while maintaining safety standards and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Duties

• Operate truck cranes (up to 100 ton) to lift, move, and position materials accurately on construction sites.
• Tow cranes to job site
• Perform rigging activities to secure loads safely for lifting operations.
• Conduct routine inspections of cranes and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during operation.
• Collaborate with team members including site supervisors, riggers, and other operators to coordinate tasks effectively.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B (CDL B) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience operating cranes
• CCO and OSHA Certifications
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Experience with rigging techniques for safe lifting and load securing.
• Construction site experience demonstrating knowledge of safety standards and operational best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination on busy job sites.

Hours: 7a-5p (opportunities for OT)
Pay: $30-$35 (DOE)
