In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $26,600-$33,250.
Mailroom Assosciate
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Onsite/Lexington, KY
Work Hours:
- Monday - Friday 7:00am-clean desk
- Additional overtime as needed
- Some Saturdays
- Mandatory Paid Training: 8 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and collate incoming and outgoing mail by department, category, or destination
- Weigh mail and apply correct postage using postage meter machines
- Prepare envelopes and packages for dispatch, including labeling and sealing
- Record and track registered, certified, and express mail
- Operate mailroom equipment such as scanners, fax machines, and sorting machines
- Stamp and date incoming mail and log delivery details
- Handle misdirected mail and arrange for reforwarding
- Maintain inventory of mailing supplies (e.g., stamps, envelopes, labels)
- Assist with bulk mailings and special delivery requests
- Ensure compliance with postal regulations and company policies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move packages (up to 30lbs)
- Familiarity with mailroom equipment and software
- Good communication and literacy skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a mailroom or clerical role is a plus
- Able to pass background check
- Fast-paced office or corporate setting
- Physical activity including standing, bending, and lifting
- May involve interaction with delivery personnel and internal staff
