Development Coordinator
Location: Winter Park, FL (In-Person)

About CECO
The Conductive Education Center of Orlando (CECO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and adults with physical disabilities, including cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions, through evidence-based Conductive Education programs. Our mission is to build independence, mobility, confidence, and opportunity for the individuals we serve throughout Central Florida.
Position Overview
CECO is seeking an organized, energetic, and mission-driven Development Coordinator to support fundraising efforts, community outreach, donor engagement, and special events.
This role works closely with the Director of Development and takes a lead role in planning CECO's major fundraising events, coordinating silent auctions, cultivating community partnerships, supporting donor stewardship, and helping grow awareness of CECO's mission.

Responsibilities
Event Planning & Fundraising
- Lead planning and execution of CECO's signature fundraising events:
- Night of Dreams Gala
- Raymond Golf Classic
- Coordinate vendors, venues, catering, entertainment, décor, and event logistics
- Manage event budgets and timelines
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers
- Support sponsorship outreach and donor engagement
- Partner with marketing staff on event promotion and social media campaigns
Silent Auction Management
- Solicit and secure auction items and in-kind donations
- Build relationships with local businesses and community partners
- Manage auction inventory, records, displays, and checkout processes
Community Outreach
- Represent CECO at networking and community events
- Develop new community partnerships
- Support outreach campaigns and awareness initiatives
- Connect prospective donors, volunteers, and supporters with CECO's mission
Donor & Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate donor, sponsor, and volunteer records
- Generate reports and assist with fundraising campaigns
- Prepare donor acknowledgments and stewardship communications
- Provide general administrative support to the Development Department
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, event planning, nonprofit development, community relations, or related work
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Canva, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends for events
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. when assisting with event setup and breakdown
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Bloomerang
- Experience with auction software such as OneCause
- Experience in nonprofit, disability services, healthcare, or human services organizations
- Sponsorship development or corporate partnership experience
