Clinical Psychological Diagnostician

Conduct Curb, LLC is a family-centered agency dedicated to supporting children diagnosed with Autism and their caregivers. We specialize in providing one-on-one behavior therapy, family consultations, and parent/professional training to empower caregivers. We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Clinical Psychological Diagnostician to join our team!

Role Description:

The Clinical Psychological Diagnostician is responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess, diagnose, and provide recommendations for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and a wide range of behavioral, developmental, and emotional conditions. This role utilizes clinical interviews, structured observations, standardized assessments, and collateral information to develop accurate diagnoses and meaningful clinical insights. The Diagnostician prepares detailed evaluation reports, offers referrals when appropriate, and collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to support treatment planning and continuity of care.

Essential Functions

• Utilize standardized assessment tools, clinical interviews, standardized tests (cognitive, ADOS-2, and MSE), and observations to evaluate individuals for potential conditions or disorders.
• Gather and analyze comprehensive information about an individual's medical, psychological, social, and educational history.
• Administer and interpret complex data from psychological and behavioral tests to assess functioning.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with other professionals on diagnostic considerations and recommendations.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss assessment findings and contribute to the development of individualized intervention strategies when needed.
• Document assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.
• Prepare clear and concise diagnostic reports for referring physicians, therapists, patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Offer expert consultations to other professionals and stakeholders, providing guidance on diagnostic considerations, assessments, and appropriate interventions.
• Educate individuals, families, and caregivers about the diagnostic process and recommendations to enhance understanding and collaboration in the treatment journey.
• Providing feedback and guidance to patients’ post-evaluation.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, educators, and other specialists for holistic care.

• Expertise in administering and interpreting psychological assessments.
• Deep understanding of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.

Required Education and Experience

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in psychology, neuropsychology, or related field from an accredited institution
• Training and competency in ASD diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS-2, ADI-R, CARS-2).
• Active Indiana Psychologist license or certification in good standing within past 12 months and have HSPP.
• Additional certifications in relevant specialties, such as ADOS 2 training (ADOS training can also be provided).
• Previous experience in psychological and neuropsychological assessments and diagnoses, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Proficient knowledge of various diagnostic tools, assessment methodologies, and treatment planning

Preferred Education and Experience

• Two or more years of experience conducting pediatric psychological assessments.
• Experience working in ABA, behavioral health, or interdisciplinary clinical settings.
•  Familiarity with insurance documentation and medical necessity requirements.
• Bilingual proficiently.
• Trained in safe physical management techniques (or able to attend and participate in safe physical management technique trainings).
• Prior work experience with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental disabilities.
• Deep understanding of autism spectrum disorder and other common disorders diagnosed in children (ADHD, OCD, ODD, Developmental Delay, Speech Delay, etc.).

Additional Eligibility Requirements

• Current malpractice insurance (if applicable)
• Must pass criminal and sexual abuse background checks.
• Must provide proof of clean TB and drug tests.

Supervisory Responsibilities

 None. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

The Clinical Psychological Diagnostician may be required to sit, stand, or administer testing for extended periods. The Clinical Psychological Diagnostician may also be required to lift heavy objects on a regular basis, complete repetitive tasks with few breaks, and use various methods of safe physical management techniques to ensure the safety of Conduct Curb clients and staff.

Travel Required

Minimal; may require occasional travel to other Conduct Curb locations for evaluations, meetings, or trainings.
