Position Overview:

The Security Officer Unarmed is responsible for safeguarding property, personnel, and assets at designated locations. This role involves maintaining a visible security presence, enforcing policies, responding to incidents, and ensuring a safe environment. Armed officers carry firearms and must adhere to California laws and regulations, while unarmed officers focus on observation, access control, and customer service.

Conduct regular patrols on foot or via vehicle to monitor premises for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches. Observe and report any irregularities or safety concerns. Maintain a high level of visibility to deter criminal activity.

Interact courteously with clients, visitors, and colleagues. Act as a professional representative of the security company and uphold its reputation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide security services at assigned site according to the site post order duty requirements

· Utilize our tracking software in the performance of daily duties

· Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports as needed

· Collaboration with local law enforcement agencies when necessary

· Maintain visitor and employee access logs

· Maintain a professional appearance

Physical functions and working environment:

· Frequent extended sitting, standing, and walking

· Frequent climbing stairs, ramps, and occasionally ladders

· Frequent bending, twisting, and kneeling

· Frequent reaching and grasping

· Occasional lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds

· Occasional running

Minimum Qualifications for Security Officers:

· Must possess and maintain BSIS California Guard Card Certification

· Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent

· Must be at least 18 years of age and able to provide documentation showing authorization to work in the U.S

· Knowledgeable in general security industry standards and methods

· Valid Driver’s License

· Employment is contingent on successful completion of a drug screen and background check

· If prior military, one must provide DD214 discharge document with discharge status upon job offer

Pay: $18.50 - $24.00 per hour

• Security: 2 years (Required)
• Armed security: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Firearms License registered through BSIS (Preferred)
• Guard Card registered through BSIS (Required)

• Overnight Shift (Preferred)

Salary : $19 - $24
