Job Description
Fee-only registered investment advisor located in Central NJ is seeking a candidate with 4 years of industry experience to fill an open full-time trader/financial analyst position within our firm. This candidate will be tasked with executing trades on behalf of the firm's clients, analyzing securities and providing support to the research committee, assisting client service personnel with investment-related questions from clients, and other ad-hoc projects. Training will be provided as required, but the candidate must have prior trading experience, excellent writing and computer skills, current knowledge of financial markets, and strong interest in investment research.
Job Responsibilities
This position will involve executing trades on behalf of the firm's clients using several in-house developed strategies. This will involve block trades across subsets of client accounts, rebalancing, taking care of cash needs, etc. The candidate will also be expected to assist in developing the firm's in-house strategies by researching and constructing reports on individual stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs. The candidate will also be assisting in the review of alternative funds, both analyzing new strategies as well as ongoing review of existing investments in alternative asset classes. From time to time, the position will also require the candidate to speak about and answer investment-related questions from clients. Experience with, or a desire to learn, functions on the Bloomberg Terminal is important.

Ideal Candidate Skills/Characteristics
· Bachelor's degree from 4-year institution with strong GPA. Relevant business majors are preferred, but all will be considered.
· Certification such as CFA/CIMA or desire to pursue.
· Excellent command of the written English language is necessary.
· Experience with alternative investment strategies, specifically private credit, private equity, and real estate.
· Personal interest in investing.
· 3 years relevant job experience is preferred.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and related business productivity tools.
· Ability to manage competing priorities in a timely fashion.
· Mental acuity to work independently, but also function in a team environment when the situation dictates.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to communicate information in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
· Relevant experience working with Tamarac, or another trading platform, as well as Salesforce.
· Team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities.
· Experience with individual equity, sector, industry, fixed income, and alternative investments research.
