Job description
Condon & Forsyth was founded in 1935 and is internationally recognized for its expertise in handling aviation, complex tort, product liability, insurance and commercial litigation matters. Condon & Forsyth has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
We are seeking a litigation associate to join the Condon Business group to assist our New York team in litigating a wide variety of disputes involving complex corporate, real estate, banking and finance issues.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and admitted to practice in the State of New York or admission pending.
- 0-6 years of experience in Civil Litigation

- Aptitude for detail-oriented, analytical thinking
- Excellent drafting, writing, and oral communication skills
- Research and analytical skills, accurate and strong attention to detail,
- High level of organization and time management skills
Knowledge/ Helpful Experience
- Trial experience
- Experience or familiarity with corporate, banking and real estate transactions
- General knowledge of Aviation/Insurance law
- Familiarity with the latest developments in the practice of law, as well as pertinent knowledge in related fields
- Proficiency with technologies that improve efficiencies and facilitate the practice of law and remote work
Responsibilities Will Include
- Perform case analysis, litigation planning and budgeting
- Handle all pleadings, motion practice and discovery
- Regularly prepare witnesses, handle court appearances, conferences, motions and depositions
- Managing a litigation trial caseload, working cases from beginning to end
- Working closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal team projects
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports
Based on experience, you will receive a full range of litigation experience including: managing the entire legal process, drafting complaints, drafting, investigation and discovery, site inspections, trial preparation, court hearings, and proceedings, arguing motions, representing clients in trials and negotiating settlements as required etc.

Salary Range is $128,000 to $169,000 annually depending on experience.
