What are the responsibilities and job description for the Handyman for Condominium Complex position at Condominium Association?
Large condominium complex in Stamford seeks a full time handyman. Starting pay is $22.65 per hour, potential overtime pay, pension plan, health insurance, potential December holiday bonus. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM, with days off on major holidays.
Handyman shall work under the direction on the superintendent, and will be responsible for minor repairs/maintenance involving light carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, gutters, drain lines, parking lots, walkways. **Handyman will also be responsible filling in for the superintendent when the superintendent is on vacation. That includes answering the office phone, returning phone calls, dealing with vendors.
Winter/ snow duties shall include salting/sanding the walkways, and using a snow blower for walkways. No snow plowing. Must be "on call" during snow storms.
The candidate must live within 10 miles of Stamford, be dependable, have good judgment, character, and have a clear understanding of his/her responsibilities. Pleasant working conditions.
Hours Monday to Friday 8:00 AM -4:30 PM.
