Concrete Plant Supervisor

Concrete Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is looking for a self-motivated and experienced Concrete Plant Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a portable concrete batch plant. The Plant Supervisor will oversee an array of tasks, such as batching operations, dispatching concrete deliveries and/or tankers and dump trucks for material hauling, directing plant staff, following and strictly enforcing all safety protocols and quality standards, and completing all administrative duties. Concrete Plant Supervisors will provide outstanding leadership, quality training, excellent communication skills, and always represent the company in a friendly and professional manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all plant staff and field operations, including but not limited to, drivers and plant laborers and loaders, to ensure crew is operating efficiently and effectively.
• Layout, plan, communicate, organize, and direct assigned team members in all aspects of commercial concrete work.
• Coordinate work daily with Heavy Highway Operations Manager, Project Managers, General Contractors, field staff, and other personnel as needed.
• Coordinate monthly plant inspections with the Operations Manager.
• Complete projects in strict accordance to plans and specifications and maintain a production schedule for 3 working days.
• Strives daily to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) set by the company (e.g. manhour control, productivity, etc.).
• Perform plant preventive maintenance functions (bin integrity, the dust collection system, admixture dispensers, gates and rams, conveyer belts, motors, air compressor and aerator functionality, etc.) to ensure the plant is always operationally reliable and running at targeted capacity.
• Assist and support with employee relations such as training, presenting disciplinary write-ups, and assigning/directing work.
• Work with team, clients/owners, and inspectors in a professional and friendly manner and relay a positive attitude toward coworkers, vendors, and clients.
• Follow and strictly enforce all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate safety equipment and using excellent safety practices while visiting job sites per CTI policies, OSHA, and Federal and State laws and regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of concrete supervisor experience required.
• DOT Aggregate/PCC certifications required.
• Proven work experience in the concrete industry.
• Able to maintain a high level of work quality.
• Proven leadership skills among field crews.
• A valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record are required. CDL is preferred.
• Excellent time management skills. Works well under time constraints and responds positively to change.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, friendly, possesses a positive attitude, self-motivated, and proactive.
• Able to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and elements. Comfortable working around dust, oils, solvents, gas fumes, and concrete raw materials.
• Pass a post-conditional offer of employment drug screen, physical, and background check.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
