Concrete Systems is seeking a Concrete Estimator to join our team in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of concrete construction and estimating practices, along with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, as well as internal and field teams to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
- Assist in preparing and submitting competitive bids, including takeoffs, pricing, and proposal documentation for upcoming projects.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing, materials, and construction methods.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in concrete estimating or related field.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with PlanSwift and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work in person, 9 hours per day at our Newark, NJ office.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
