Site Services Coordinator

Summary Description

The Site Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all on-site labor activities related to general site readiness, housekeeping, basic carpentry, and support tasks at the direction of the GC superintendent team. This role focuses exclusively on managing the labor force and ensuring the site service tasks assigned by the GC superintendent team are properly staffed.

The Site Services Coordinator ensures that labor crews are deployed effectively and safety standards are upheld. This role requires strong communication with GC leadership and internal Operations to support manpower planning and consistent task communication and execution. Carpentry proficiency and the ability to guide a large labor workforce are essential. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a strong plus.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily with GC Superintendent teams to support site sequencing, readiness, and overall site needs.
  • Supervise and organize a labor crew of 50 workers performing cleanup, material movement, basic carpentry tasks, and general site support as directed by GC superintendent team.
  • Work closely with Site Services Operations Manager and GC superintendent team to plan labor resources and adjust manpower as project conditions evolve.
  • Track daily/weekly progress of GC-assigned activities.
  • Accurately capture and report time for the labor workforce.
  • Relay and coordinate staffing to perform site service tasks communicated and directed by GC superintendent.
  • Assist with simple carpentry, temporary structures, barricades, protection, and other basic construction support tasks as needed.
  • Promote and reinforce company safety culture across the entire labor team.

 

Job-Specific Competencies / Behaviors

  • Working knowledge of general construction site operations, jobsite flow, and labor-driven support tasks.
  • Practical carpentry skills and the ability to coordinate crews performing basic carpentry tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with a consistent focus on site cleanliness and readiness.
  • Safety-driven mindset with the ability to model and uphold company safety standards.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred to effectively coordinate with the field labor force.
  • Demonstrates strong listening skills, relationship-building, open-mindedness, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

 

Education / Experience / Attributes

  • 10 years of field experience in commercial or industrial construction; prior supervision of large labor crews strongly preferred.
  • Carpentry background required.
  • Proven ability to coordinate a labor workforce safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project expectations.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with GC teams, internal management, field labor, and other site personnel.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of safety policies and commitment to enforcing a “Safety First” culture. OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Comfortable using basic technology for reporting, time tracking, and communication.
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs and work on active construction sites, including exposure to heights, weather conditions, noise, and jobsite hazards.
  • Willingness to travel depending on project location.
