Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver and play a vital role in providing safe, reliable transportation services. In this position, you will operate various types of vehicles—including concrete mixers, dump trucks, tractor trailers —while ensuring road safty and delivering exceptional customer service. Your expected to maintain transportation safety regulations, adhere to traffic laws, and respond swiftly to traffic changes or emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as tractor trailers, dump trucks and concrete mixers while following all traffic laws and vehicle codes.
- Ensure safety by conducting pre-trip inspections, adhering to emergency stop procedures, and following transportation safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with customers and member's of your crew , addressing their needs, and maintaining a friendly demeanor.
- Respond quickly to traffic changes or unexpected situations using defensive driving techniques and quick response strategies.
- Follow all policies and transportation protocols related to safety procedures.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading concrete or construction materials.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) ; MUST HAVE CLASS A CDL
- Proven experience operating tractor trailers/concrete mixers or similar commercial vehicles in a safe manner.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations at the state and local levels.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
- Ability to respond effectively during emergency situations
- Experience working with concrete and/or on construction sites are beneficial.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist crew members with moving materials.
Pay is based on experience and usefulness.
CLASS A CDL IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION!
We haul concrete to job sites, washout our trucks; We haul dirt, building/construction materials and equipment to job sites. You are responsible for keeping the truck you drive clean inside and out. We always strive to provide the best customer service possible. Bilingual Is also a great skill to have but is not a requirement. Having knowledge/able to run equipment such as front end loader, roller, bull dozer, excavator, sissor lift are all things useful for this job. It is not required but pay is based on knowledge/experience of all the things listed above. We will access your knowledge of trucks/equipment if you say you are familiar with operating them.
Pay: $7.25 - $26.00 per hour
