Concrete Coating Installation Trainer

About FloorTek
FloorTek is a growing concrete coatings company looking for an experienced concrete coating professional to join our team as a Concrete Coating Installation Trainer.
This is a training-focused position for an experienced installer who has mastered the concrete coating process and can effectively teach others. The ideal candidate understands that successful training is about more than simply showing someone how to install a floor. It is about teaching proper preparation, technique, efficiency, equipment operation, quality control, and consistent installation standards.
We are looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about developing installers and building great crews.

Training & Certification
The Installation Trainer will be responsible for delivering hands-on training to new and existing FloorTek installation employees.
Training includes:
- Concrete grinding and surface preparation
- Concrete and crack repair
- Coating mixing and application
- Polyurea and polyaspartic systems
- Flake broadcast and topcoat application
- Professional grinding and coating equipment
- Jobsite safety
- Quality control
- Production efficiency
- Jobsite organization and cleanup
- Professional homeowner interaction
- FloorTek installation procedures and quality standards
Upon successful completion of the FloorTek training program, employees will receive a FloorTek Concrete Coating Installation Training Certificate.
What You'll DoTraining & Development
- Conduct hands-on training for new installation employees
- Teach FloorTek installation systems, procedures, and standards
- Demonstrate proper grinding and concrete preparation techniques
- Train employees on concrete and crack repair
- Teach proper coating mixing and application
- Train employees on flake broadcast and topcoat application
- Teach proper equipment operation and maintenance
- Demonstrate proper jobsite organization and cleanup
- Train employees on safety procedures
- Teach crews how to maintain production efficiency without sacrificing quality
- Evaluate trainees throughout the training process
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching
- Identify areas where additional training is needed
- Help installers develop the skills necessary to become Lead Installers and Crew Leaders
Quality Control
- Ensure trainees understand FloorTek quality standards
- Inspect training projects and provide feedback
- Identify improper techniques and correct them
- Reinforce proper surface preparation and application procedures
- Help reduce installation errors, callbacks, and rework
- Maintain consistency across all trained installation crews
Equipment & Systems
- Train employees on professional grinding equipment
- Teach proper use of dust collection systems
- Train employees on coating application tools and equipment
- Teach proper equipment cleaning and maintenance
- Ensure employees understand safe equipment operation
- Maintain training equipment and materials
What We're Looking ForRequired
- Extensive hands-on experience installing concrete coatings
- Proven experience with epoxy, polyurea, polyaspartic, or similar coating systems
- Strong understanding of concrete preparation and surface profiling
- Experience operating professional floor grinders and dust collection equipment
- Strong understanding of coating mixing, application, flake broadcast, and topcoat procedures
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot installation issues
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Ability to demonstrate techniques clearly and patiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and dependable work history
- Ability to work in a hands-on training environment
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Monday–Saturday availability as business needs require
Preferred
- Previous Lead Installer or Crew Leader experience
- Previous experience training installers
- Experience developing installation crews
- Experience with multiple concrete coating systems
- Experience troubleshooting coating failures
- Previous experience with a high-volume residential coatings company

This position plays an important role in building FloorTek's installation teams and ensuring that every installer understands and consistently follows the same proven processes.
