Full Job Description
American Precast Concrete’s Residential Fence Division is hiring a results-driven Field Sales Representative to attend customer appointments, qualify sites, present solutions, prepare estimates, and close residential fence installation contracts. You will own the appointment-to-contract process, document all activity in Salesforce, and partner with Sales Admin, Project Managers, and Operations to ensure a smooth handoff to installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled on-site residential appointments; perform site assessments and take accurate measurements.
- Present product options, design recommendations, financing options, and clear value propositions to homeowners.
- Prepare accurate, competitive proposals and estimates in accordance with company pricing and margin rules.
- Close sales and negotiate contract terms; meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Maintain detailed activity and opportunity records in Salesforce; follow up on leads and proposals.
- Coordinate handoffs with Sales Admin, Project Managers, and Operations to guarantee install readiness.
- Conduct outbound prospecting as needed while prioritizing inbound leads.
- Represent the company professionally on site; manage customer expectations and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years outside sales experience; construction, fencing, or installed services experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to close residential contracts and meet sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable reading basic construction drawings and taking accurate field measurements (preferred).
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce), MS Office, and mobile quoting tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for local travel.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a full calendar of appointments.
Preferred
- Familiarity with residential sitework, concrete/precast materials, or construction estimating.
- Experience presenting customer financing plans.
