Concordia University Irvine is seeking a highly motivated, relationship-driven, and growth-minded individual to serve as a full-time Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. This position reports directly to the Head Women's Basketball Coach and plays a vital role in the continued growth and success of the program.

- Coaching & Player Development Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of daily practices and game preparation.
- Provide high-level skill instruction in both individual and team settings.
- Teach offensive and defensive concepts while emphasizing basketball IQ, communication, and decision-making.
- Assist with game management, scouting, opponent preparation, and film breakdown.
- Invest in the holistic development of student-athletes, including their athletic, academic, personal, and leadership growth.
- Foster an environment that promotes accountability, resilience, competitive excellence, and joy.
- Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes who align with the program's competitive and cultural standards.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with recruits, families, high school and club coaches.
- Attend recruiting events and evaluate prospects in accordance with NCAA regulations.
- Manage recruiting communication through phone calls, email, text messaging, and recruiting software.
- Maintain NCAA recruiting certification and adhere to all NCAA, PacWest Conference, and institutional policies.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball program.
- Coordinate facility scheduling through CourseDog for practices, games, team meetings, study hall, and other program functions.
- Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes in collaboration with faculty and academic support staff.
- Assist with travel preparation, equipment management, camps, community engagement, fundraising initiatives, and special events.
- Supervise and mentor graduate assistants, student managers, and other support staff.
- Perform additional administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach.
Experience
Preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while taking initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of basketball analytics, scouting software, and video editing platforms is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and build relationships with prospective student-athletes and their families.
- Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience preferred.

- Masters or better
