What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Counselor I, Graduate position at Concordia University Irvine?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each of the below duties satisfactorily:
- Represents the University to prospective students and the general public with the highest degree of professionalism through an array of outreach programs, activities, and events.
- Provide timely and professional customer service and actively connect with prospective students through phone, email, virtual meetings, events, and in-person appointments.
- Advises prospective students through the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.
- Maintain consistent follow-up communication with prospective students to encourage application completion and enrollment.
- Represent the university at recruitment events, graduate fairs, information sessions, webinars, and networking opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of recruitment activity, application progress, and enrollment outcomes within the university CRM and student information systems.
- Review application materials for completeness, coordinate communication and execution of interviews with appropriate faculty or admissions staff, as needed.
- Work closely with academic departments to support enrollment initiatives and student engagement.
- Presents program and admissions information to prospective students at information sessions and conferences.
- Meets aggressive enrollment goals for each start term.
- Works collaboratively with appropriate Concordia University Irvine personnel to grow and improve academic programs.
- Supports, and contributes to, the mission and vision of Concordia University Irvine
- Some evening and weekend hours, as needed.
- Some travel required.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Pay Range: $24 - $25 per hour
Experience
Preferred- Experience in higher education admissions preferred.
Education
Preferred- Bachelors or better
