Overview
A new bilingual preschool in Fort Greene, Brooklyn is seeking a passionate and experienced Toddler Lead Teacher to guide and inspire a classroom of 1 year old children. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where children feel confident, curious, and supported.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood best practices
- Create a warm, structured classroom environment that supports social-emotional growth and independence
- Observe, assess, and document student progress
- Maintain strong communication with families through conferences, updates, and daily interactions
- Ensure full compliance with NYC DOH regulations
- Support school events, family workshops, and community-building initiatives
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture within the school
Requirements
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education
- Minimum: Study Plan Eligible - must be currently enrolled in college pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with at least 12 college-level credits in Early Childhood Education
- Fluency in French or Spanish is a plus, but not required
