As an Order Entry Technician, you'll ensure prescription orders are entered accurately, processed efficiently, and delivered to the pharmacy team on schedule. What You'll Do as an Order Entry Technician
- Accurately enter new and refill prescription orders into the pharmacy system
- Review and verify medication order information, including dosage, frequency, route, and duration
- Contact facilities to clarify prescription orders when needed
- Generate prescription labels for pharmacy processing and delivery
- Process insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and census information
- Assist with claim adjudication and resolve order-related issues
- Provide excellent customer service while handling incoming calls
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all pharmacy regulations and company policies
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board-approved training program, CPhT certification, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee Registration
- Strong computer, typing, and data entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
