Pay & Benefits for a Childcare Teacher
- Starting pay of $15.50/hour
**An additional $1.50/hour for eligible employees who waive health insurance**

Your Day as a Childcare Teacher
- Provide attentive, compassionate care for infants and toddlers
- Support early childhood development through play, exploration, and daily routines
- Use lesson planning to create engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Assist with meals, diapering, and toileting
- Communicate with parents about their child’s day and progress
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom
- Collaborate with staff and follow state childcare licensing standards
Required Childcare Teacher Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education OR 2,500 hours of child care experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, organized, and dependable approach
- Ability to manage daily routines while meeting children’s individual needs
Preferred Childcare Teacher Qualifications
- Experience with infants and/or toddlers in a daycare setting
- Knowledge of lesson planning and early childhood development
