Our approach places participants in a grand simulation of a trip abroad, surrounding them with authentic cultural elements and thoughtfully designed learning experiences led by skilled language educators. Through our iso-immersion model, participants build language proficiency, intercultural competence, and a broader global perspective.


For youth in particular, traditional camp experiences—such as canoeing, campfires, and collaborative activities—are intentionally woven into the program to cultivate teamwork, empathy, leadership, and personal growth, all while supporting CLV’s mission of preparing engaged global citizens.

 

 About the Role


Concordia Language Villages is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented professional to serve as Health Services Coordinator, supporting the health, safety, and well-being of participants and staff across village programs.

 

This role provides leadership for health services operations, with a strong focus on compliance, coordination, and seasonal workforce management. The position is most active during the summer season, with additional responsibilities throughout the academic year.

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional leadership for health services operations across Village sites, overseeing health documentation systems, health record compliance, and administrative processes that support safe and effective program operations.
  • Lead seasonal healthcare workforce management, including recruiting, onboarding, credential verification, and supervision of a large seasonal team of healthcare providers and interns supporting Village programs.
  • Oversee compliance, risk management, and emergency preparedness, ensuring alignment with applicable health regulations, American Camp Association standards, and institutional safety protocols. 
  • Coordinate participant health services and family communication, reviewing health records, supporting accommodation planning, and working with families, healthcare providers, and program leaders to meet participant health needs. 
  • Collaborate with Village leadership and campus partners, supporting cross-department coordination on areas such as dietary accommodations, health training, and participant well-being initiatives.

 

 Work Modality

  • Based in Bemidji, MN
  • Monday–Friday schedule, with some evenings and weekends during peak summer programs
  • Year-round role with seasonal intensity during summer operations

 

 Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Adult & Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Experience in healthcare, public health, or camp settings

Preferred Qualifications

  • RN or LPN licensure (or equivalent)
  • Experience in healthcare leadership or supervision in a camp or similar setting

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated crisis management skills and ability to respond effectively in emergencies
  • Understanding of MESH (Mental, Emotional, and Social Health) principles and ability to apply them in a camp setting
  • Familiarity with ACA (American Camp Association) standards and ACH (Alliance for Camp Health) best practices
