Job Summary/Basic Function
The primary responsibility of this position is to clean Dining Services facilities; perform general maintenance and repairs; and provide timely deliveries of products and make timely pickups for Contract Services and other clients.
Support the mission and vision of Concordia College and demonstrate the competencies as defined for this position.
Perform general cleaning and maintenance of Dining Services facilities, including but not limited to: trash and recycling removal; restroom cleaning; product restocking; floor care, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning. Change light bulbs. Wash windows and walls. General office cleaning. Floor refinishing. Periodic project work and maintenance tasks.
Provide safe and timely delivery of products to Contract Services and other clients using a delivery vehicle and lift. Provide friendly, professional customer service and maintain excellent client relationships.
Assist with receiving vendor deliveries and inventory management, including but not limited to: product rotation; proper storage of received products; product quality checks; and taking periodic inventory as assigned.
Work cooperatively and productively with student employees, co-workers, and management in service to our customers and support student employee recruitment and retention.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED ;
- Three to six months direct or related experience;
- Take ServSafe course and pass ServSafe exam or pass internal food safety exam within first year of employment;
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record; pass DOT physical.
- Standard custodial skills (cleaning surfaces; floor care; trash removal, and use of chemical cleaners).
- Standard delivery skills (reading, counting, organizing, lifting, pushing, pulling, safely driving one-ton delivery/box trucks and vans, operating a lift).
- Basic skills: reading, writing, performing simple arithmetic, operating basic office equipment (copier, telephone) and basic custodial equipment (ladder, broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, scrubber, and buffer).
- General maintenance skills (diagnosing problems; using tools, greasing equipment, replacing casters on carts).
- Customer service skills.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage our customers with an attitude of willingness and dedication to serve.
