This role focuses on building the skills, strategies, and confidence students need to improve performance on the SAT and/or ACT (assignment dependent). Tutoring emphasizes content reinforcement, efficient problem-solving, and test-taking strategies, with regular practice and review routines aligned to student needs and site goals. Instruction should be structured, data-informed (using practice performance to target skills), and supportive. The tutor will provide instruction across a typical 10-week cycle, with pacing adapted to student readiness and site logistics. What You Will TeachStudents will receive instruction and guided practice in SAT/ACT-aligned reading, writing/language, and math skills, as well as test strategies such as pacing, question prioritization, process of elimination, and error analysis. Tutoring may include mini-lessons, timed practice sets, review of misconceptions, and strategies for different question types.
