General Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Development, plans and facilitates an extracurricular course centered around business and finance for middle and high school students. Major Duties:Meets regularly with the Director of Educational DevelopmentPlans and facilitates instructional sessionsDevelop a curriculum that covers a variety of business and finance topics including but not limited to the stock market, business current events, personal finance, and investmentsModels appropriate academic and social behaviorsPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to work with students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, academic profiles, and skill levels. Possess good interpersonal and organizational skills. Must demonstrate responsibility, a desire to help others, discretion, and flexibility. Knowledge of basic academic content and skills. Application of such knowledge and tools to help students access material. Ability to collect and analyze data to drive future instruction. Ability to work independently applying critical thinking skills and problem solving to various situations.Qualifications: Must possess a bachelor's degree and have teaching and/or tutoring experience, must have previously taught similar material to middle or high school aged students.
Salary : $55 - $110
