Instruction should be age-appropriate and school-appropriate, with clear norms for respectful discussion, inclusive community-building, and responsible media selection aligned to site policies. The instructor will deliver instruction one day per week for approximately one hour across a typical 10-week cycle, with pacing adapted to student needs and site logistics.

  • Media literacy skills: perspective, bias, audience, and responsible viewing
  • Creative expression inspired by anime (fan art, writing, design, multimedia)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a 10-session club-style course with engaging facilitation and clear weekly objectives
  • Curate or implement school-approved, age-appropriate anime clips/media selections in alignment with site guidance
  • Lead structured discussions that build student voice, listening skills, and respectful dialogue
  • Facilitate creative activities and projects connected to course themes
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive environment that supports positive peer interaction and community-building
  • Communicate professionally with site staff and Concorde program contacts regarding attendance and session completion tracking
  • Adapt pacing and activities to match student interests and readiness while maintaining intended learning outcomes

Qualifications (Required)

  • Strong facilitation skills, discussion leadership, and classroom presence
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional; able to follow school policies and program boundaries
