Desktop Support Technician
Location: On-Site – Columbia, SC

Concordant LLC is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our on-site team in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in endpoint deployment, hardware support, and customer service. This role supports daily and monthly device management activities, troubleshooting, asset documentation, and equipment lifecycle processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Responsibilities
- Build desktops, laptops, and tablets using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Ensure BitLocker encryption keys are properly stored in Active Directory and InTune.
- Verify MECM Client installation on all newly built devices.
- Maintain device connection to the network for at least 2.5 hours after build completion.
- Ensure all software listed on the build sheet is installed on each device.
- Properly document all assigned IT assets—desktops, laptops, tablets, docking stations, 27” monitors, printers, scanners, and other tracked equipment—in the designated IT Services Asset Management system, following established procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve end-user issues involving endpoint hardware and software; record all work performed in the Help Desk ticketing system.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs, or coordinate vendor support as needed.
- Assist with removal and disposal of obsolete equipment, salvaging usable components in accordance with disposal procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Monthly Responsibilities
- Ensure designated backup tablets are connected by patch cable to the network to receive Patch Tuesday updates.
- Power on and connect tablets on the second Friday of each month and keep them connected until 12 PM the following Wednesday.
- Log in using the local account before powering down the tablets on Wednesday.
- Power on and charge all iPads during the same timeframe (no login required).
Required Skills & Experience
- 4 years of experience in desktop and networked systems support, including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and scanners.
- 2 years of experience in computer deployment, operations, and repairs.
- 2 years of hardware and software installation experience.
- 2 years of experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
- Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Edge).
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows environments.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using a help desk ticketing system.
- Experience with networked enterprise environments.
- Experience with Active Directory and/or InTune.
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (may substitute for years of work experience).

Pay: $24.38 - $26.54 per hour
