About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Information Architect to design, develop, and maintain robust data models that support business operations and ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability. This on-site role in Blythewood, SC, requires collaboration with data architects, DBAs, developers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities
- Create and update logical and physical data models using ERwin Data Modeler.
- Perform reverse and forward engineering of database structures.
- Provide best practices for data modeling, metadata management, and documentation.
- Ensure database designs support scalability, integrity, and performance requirements.
- Identify data integrity and consistency issues; provide reports and recommendations to address them.
- Identify and help resolve duplicate data issues.
- Collaborate with data architects, DBAs, developers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into data models.
- Manage version control of data models and maintain model repositories.
- Support data governance and compliance initiatives through effective data modeling strategies.
- Perform modeling activities for MS SQL databases as needed.
- Provide Oracle and MS SQL production support activities as directed by the DBA manager.
Required Skills (ranked by importance)
- 3 years professional data modeling experience with ERwin Data Modeler or similar tools
- Oracle 19 DBA and/or SQL Server 2019/2022 experience
Preferred Skills
- SQL Server DBA certification
- DD Boost for backup and restore operations for Oracle databases
- Oracle Grid Control
- Oracle ASM
Education & Certifications
- Required Education: High School Diploma
- Preferred Certifications: Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or other Oracle certifications
