Education: Bachelors in an IT, Cybersecurity, engineering, or any technical field

Certification: CISSP, CISM, DoD 8570 IAT level II or greater certification (desired)

Description: Looking for qualified career minded individuals to support an existing contract with our federal government client. Work location for this support is at our customer location in Washington, DC. Requirements for this position include hands-on support to our client, team members, and end users in a wide range of IT services, projects, and activities. Provide Information Assurance and Cybersecurity support to government client:

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform the duties of an Information System Security Officer.

• Apply security best practices and tools for protecting Windows environments.

• Apply security best practices for virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.

• Write PowerShell scripts for automation and management tasks.

• Perform vulnerability scans and assist network and system administrators with remediating findings.

• Document security findings in applicable Governance, Risk and Compliance tools.

• Build POA&Ms and work with peers to complete and close POA&Ms

• Conduct in patch management and system updates.

• Design backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Prepare and maintain documentation to support security tasks (i.e., configuration baseline, standard operating procedures, diagrams, access control list, project status, etc.).

• Implement configuration baseline using industry best practices and hardening guidelines (e.g., STIGs, NIST, USGCB).

• Configure, operate, and maintain security applications and tools (access, reporting, system admin, troubleshooting, etc) including scanning tools, SIEMs, and antvirus.

• Document security posture as required (diagrams, SOPs, control requirements, etc).

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Science related field, Engineering, Information Science, or Computer Science

• Knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, VPN, firewall management)

• Knowledge of McAfee security suite

• 8 years of related experience degree (additional years of experience may be considered a substitution for education)

• US citizenship is required

• Top Secret security clearance is required

• Experience with MS AD services

• DoD 8570 certification - IAT level II or greater is desired

Veterans Highly Desired

Candidate must be US citizen (or be able to prove the right to work in the US for an extended period of time).

Must successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment; based on security clearance level required.
