Director - Sourcing

The Director, Sourcing will lead Concordance’s sourcing team for private label brands, and this functional team will continually evaluate, develop and implement private brand sourcing strategies and action plans to support Concordance’s strategic initiatives and overall corporate plan. Will be required to have the ability to build strong relationships with key internal departments as well as Concordance’s sourcing partners and other outside stakeholders, including customers, GPOs and third-party channels.  It will be necessary to collaborate effectively with sales and internal functional area leaders in order to foster good communication and execution of best practices, especially as it relates to the company’s strategic branded product partners. Collaborating and coordinating category management and product sourcing decisions with the Supplier Relations Department is essential to helping Concordance optimize the value of private label while balancing the financial objectives with aligned branded supplier partners.  The role will require close communication and planning with supplier relation, sourcing and channel partners, and the sales and marketing teams to insure minimal conflict and maximum outcome for Concordance.  Skills and experience associated with product management, project management, and strategic planning and analysis will be important for success.

• Responsible for the creation, implementation, and on-going management of private label products.
• Lead people and processes to meet departmental objectives as dictated by annual sales and profitability goals.
• Build strong relationships with Concordance’s sales team, sourcing partners and channel partners to develop a strategic plan for sales grown and profitability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to contribute to operational cost savings and process improvement within core functional areas of responsibility and occasionally other functional area.
• Continue to improve accuracy and efficiency on international and domestic purchasing to achieve excellent fill rates while maintaining a lean inventory program.
• Develop and hit annual performance targets for revenue, profitability, inventory, and overall net contribution value.
• Collaborate with marketing to help drive awareness of the brand internally and externally.
• Responsible for the creation, implementation, and on-going management of HCS Products.
• Travel required 15% of time domestically and internationally.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 8 years in previous med-surg product/industry specific or procurement/product sourcing experience.
• MBA, with concentration in business administration, supply chain or related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of 5-years of experience with Concordance or equivalent company in the healthcare industry or related product-sourcing role in a complex industry is preferred.
• Proven leadership characteristics such as working well with others, knowledge sharing expertise with fellow peers, functioning with tact and diplomacy, and presenting an overall positive attitude.
• Strong problem solving, analytics, time management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Effective relationship building skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a team.
• Strong negotiating skills are critical for this role.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethics.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.

• This role is located in any Concordance location or remote.

Compensation: $105,000-$130,000 salaried.
