Duties and Responsibilities

Program Leadership and Administration
- Provide strategic leadership for all aspects of the Men's Basketball program.
- Ensure program operations comply with NCAA Division II and Mountain East Conference policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Manage program budgets, equipment needs, and operational planning.
- Coordinate team scheduling, travel logistics, and practice planning.
- Represent the program at University, conference, and community events.
Recruitment and Student-Athlete Development
- Identify, recruit, and retain qualified student-athletes who demonstrate academic and athletic potential.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training, practice, and player-development plans.
- Promote academic success, monitor academic progress, and support student-athlete welfare.
- Foster a team culture emphasizing integrity, accountability, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
Competitive Preparation and Performance
- Prepare and execute practice sessions, game strategies, and competitive plans.
- Conduct opponent scouting, film review, and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with strength and conditioning staff to support physical development.
- Work with athletic training personnel regarding injury prevention, treatment, and return-to-play protocols.
Program Advancement and Engagement
- Lead fundraising initiatives and cultivate relationships with alumni, donors, and community partners.
- Organize and oversee camps, clinics, and outreach activities to promote the program.
- Supervise and mentor assistant coach and support staff.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and support the broader goals of Concord Athletics.
