Position Summary:
The Inside Sales and Account Representative is responsible for generating new business, supporting existing customers, and delivering an exceptional service experience to terrazzo flooring contractors, architects, designers, and other industry partners. This role blends inside sales and customer relationship management. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction materials or related industries, strong communication skills, and the ability to understand terrazzo flooring products.

Supervision Received:
This role reports to the National Sales Manager. The individual will work in a self-motivated environment with the latitude to make business decisions within established parameters aligned with company strategy.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service Responsibilities
· Answer customer inquiries and resolve concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. *
· Provide accurate product information, pricing, availability, and order updates. *
· Process customer orders ensuring accuracy and completeness of all details. *
· Assist customers with product selection and recommend terrazzo materials that match their project needs. *
· Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the CRM system. *
· Coordinate with warehouse team to resolve product, delivery, or order-related issues. *
· Manage sample shipping, packing, and inventory. *
Sales Responsibilities
· Develop relationships with architects, designers, general contractors, terrazzo contractors, and owners by understanding their business needs and project goals. *
· Present product options, specifications, pricing, and availability to prospective clients. *
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and customer loyalty. *
· Manage the full specification lifecycle, including pre-design activities, design support, bid coordination, and project review. *
· Educate customers on terrazzo materials, including epoxy resins, aggregates, divider strips, and precast products. *
· Prepare quotes, proposals, and follow up consistently to convert leads into sales. *
· Attend customer meetings as needed to support sales objectives. *
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills):
· Bachelor’s degree or related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
· Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
· Knowledge of terrazzo flooring products, materials, and installation methods preferred.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Listening to customer concerns, analyzing problems, and finding practical solutions are crucial for this role.
· Proficiency in computer systems, including customer support software, Salesforce, Fishbowl, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with inventory management systems and order processing software is also desirable.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Physical / Mental Demands:
This position requires balancing multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and providing excellent customer service. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. This position involves sitting, standing, walking, carrying, reaching, bending, and seeing. You must be able to distinguish between colors.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Work is typically performed in an office setting with regular visits to the warehouse, which is not heated or cooled. It requires the ability and willingness to work long hours at times and flexibility regarding the work schedule.
