Role Description
This is a part-time, seasonally stipended position located in Concord, NH, for a Varsity Winter Spirit Coach. The coach will lead cheer activities for the varsity winter spirit team, fostering teamwork, skill development, and positive sportsmanship. Responsibilities include creating practice schedules, instructing cheer routines, overseeing performances at athletic events, ensuring participant safety, and coordinating with school staff and stakeholders. The coach will also guide student-athletes, promote discipline, and contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment.
Qualifications
- Strong coaching skills with experience in cheerleading, choreography, and performance techniques.
- Proven ability to plan practices, teach routines, and develop strategies that enhance individual and team performance.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to motivate student-athletes and collaborate with school staff and parents.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to athletics, particularly cheerleading activities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage schedules and logistics for practices and events.
- Previous coaching experience is preferred. Experience at the high school level is a plus.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification are advantageous.
- Ability to inspire and foster inclusivity, positivity, and teamwork in a diverse group of students.
